Dior 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Rosy Tan

I picked up my very first Dior palette in Rosy Tan on a recent trip overseas duty free (strawberrynet still comes out cheaper by the way!). I love it.

The colours are beautifully pigmented and the palette lends itself to several different looks, from a neutral daytime look (like the one pictured) to a more dark and intense look with the inclusion of that darker brown shade. This palette however would be my choice moreso for the daytime / office neutral looks, as I would naturally reach for something with much more dramatic versatility if  I wanted to create a more dark, dramatic look. Something more like like Urban Decay's original Naked Palette or Sleek's Storm palette. Or Too Faced Smokey Eye Palette. I could go on, but the point is that this one is not very versatile for the dark, dramatic or smokey looks.

It's hard to justify the price of this palette, especially at Australian retail, when there are so many other fantastic eyeshadows available for much less. It would make a stunning, luxe gift to spoil someone for a special occasion though, and the recipient would feel rather very delicious pulling out that beautiful hyroglyphic-type blue compact with the gold embossed logo, with all that gorgeous quilting embossing and shimmery goodness in the actual shadows.

What do you think of Dior 5 Pan palettes? Do you have a favourite? Would love to hear!

Have a beautiful day wherever you may be,

Jodi xo

  1. Hi Jodi.
I have seen this palette mentioned quite a bit on YT (Lisaz09 I think also have a review) and clearly the colours are gorgeous.

Such a shame the price is so high that the option to buying one is almost non-existant for most of us.
