silvery grey EOTD with brighter lip

I went for some silvery grey liner underneath an Urban Decay Naked 2 eyelid. Verve has got to be one of my favorite shades from that palette- so lovely and shimmery yet in a natural shade that you don't need much more with just that on your lid. I of course went the other way and kept on slapping it on. I have a hard time letting beautiful products stand alone on my face. Working on that- really!!

I also wanted a brighter, colourful lip to contrast with the shimmery gray, and I think Syrup fit the bill nicely.

Easy simple neutral rush job FOTD

I needed to rush this bang-on look today- my 2 little girls we're patiently waiting for me to shower and get ready to go and get pancakes. Pulled out some Prestige single eyeshadows I haven't used in a while and really enjoyed them- the Iced Tea in particular is really pretty.

I've really been enjoying Tarte Matte Lipsurgence in Envy lately- the finish is very natural adding a nice rosy pop of colour which I'll usually top with a gloss.

I'm wearing so many favourites here today, from the Chanel foundation, the Maybelline under-eye Neutralizer, It Cosmetics powder, MAC blush/highlighter, Milani Liquif-eye liner, Loreal mascara and the YSL Lipstick. Amazing products all of them.

They all deserve their own review so I'll endeavor to do more of those this year, both on Youtube and this blog.

I'm still trying to find a way to make this Loreal foundation bearable. I've filmed a review basically bagging it completely for me and my skin - I think "hate" was an accurate description- but I'm one to never say never, but halfway through the day wearing this, I'm ready to totally call it quits- blurgh ! I have too many other great foundations to try to keep wasting my time win this!!

I chose a bright lip by Revlon- missglamorazzi on YouTube did a recent video suggesting a Makeup Starter Kit and mentioned this Lip Butter in Lollipop, and I haven't worn it for ages, so really enjoying it today after applying with a brush in thin layers. Their Pink Pop lipgloss is the perfect accompaniment to Lollipop.

Lastly, there are no words for the surprise at how much I love this Loreal Million Volume Lashes Mascara each and every time I use it- long, voluminous lashes that make my eyes look so much bigger

I'm still really enjoying the Bourjois Flower Perfection foundation, and also pulled an oldie but a really really good goodie out of the drawer today from Stila- their Kitten eyeshadow really does live up to every bit of hype and I adore it every time I put it on. It gives the perfect amount of respectable shimmer and is a firm favourite as far as shimmer highlight eyeshadows go for me. Definitely unsurpassed. The mascara was a flop today for some reason using my Step 2 then Step 1 method. Not at all what I'm used to with this mascara. Think it might just be getting too thick or maybe I'll try the steps in proper sequence now the mascara has been open for a while... And while on the topic of lashes, I'm finally seeing a definite breakaway between the two different lash growth serums I've been using for the last couple of months. The difference between the sides is dramatic don't you think?

I had two great reminders today with this look:

1) you don't need a whole lot of colours, tricks and time to create a polished, put- together look, (oh my goodness NARS eyeshadows are expensive but the shades are STUNNING and worth every penny if you ask me), and

2) to think outside the usual black/brown box when it comes to eyeliner. Grey, Purple, Green, Plum all produce a lovely effect that makes a nice change from the usual. I chose MAC's Added Goodness Fluidline and was so happy with the results. My girlfriend Amy suggested I try it and she's right- I love it every time I use it. She knows!!

Purple-lined neutral EOTD with perfect-looking skin

I wore this foundation (applied with a Beauty Blender) combination for about 10 hours including a 5 hour flight without any touch-up. I was so impressed with the full, poreless coverage that I can't wait to get home to try it again. Loving this Revlon primer   so much!

I'm doing a bit of experimenting today, mainly with Loreal's BaseMagique Skin Smoothing Primer (which I am am enjoying for pore reducing and anti-shine purposes), and also the new Loreal Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation (not sure if I'm liking so much). I didn't like the cakiness I saw halfway through ye day- not sure if it was too much foundation, the NARS powder or the combination of those, or maybe even too much primer... More practice ad experimentation needed!
