1. Dior Healthy Glow Awakening Blush- Rosy Glow
This is meant to be one of those heat-activated products, whereby the shade will 'enhance' and develop in time after application, depending on the skin tone and type it's being applied to. For some strange reason, the tester on counter often looks white, nothing like the shocking pink in the compact. I loved this shade on my today and would thoroughly recommend you check this out!
2. Guerlain Meteorites Perles - Teint Beige
A gorgeous retro glam container of beautiful little brightening pearls, I thought this was a complete miss for me when I first bought it (mainly originally since it was $90- on sale from it's original $115 at Myer at an after-Christmas sale and I wanted to know if it was worth the hype). I was saddened originally as I couldn't see much of a difference when I applied it- providing no coverage and certainly not mattifying. Now that my acne is mostly under control and my pigmentation has been reduced due to a diligent skincare and some almighty products, I can appreciate the more subtle, finer points of some makeup products, including the beautiful sheen this product provides to the skin- enhancing the foundation I've applied this over with an ethereal glow. This does help to make foundation stay longer, and smoothes everything out, giving me a lovely healthy glow. Using all Guerlain products for me is absolute pure luxury and I find myself completely turned around on this product- so glad I kept it! Best news is that Guerlain has recently reduced their prices (substantially) in Australia- this little piece of paradise is now $AU70 down from $AU115. Almost seems like a bargain ; )
3. Diorific Golden Winter Collection Lipstick (Holiday 2013) - 041 Etoile
This is a heavy-duty lipstick- providing good, solid coverage, and a simply gorgeous nude shade that also has some dimension, a hint of peach to it and upon handswatch a bit of shimmer, that doesn't translate to the lips in much of a noticeable way. I SIMPLY LOVE THIS SHADE- my new favourite nude!
4. Diorskin Forever Flawless Perfection Fusion Makeup SPF25- 031
Love this foundation. It applies beautifully and takes minimal effort to blend seamlessly into the skin. It provides a lovely medium to full, buildable coverage and the 031 shade is an almost perfect match for my NC25 skin (a tad darker, but will be 100% perfect with some self tanning in the upcoming summer months). Despite the lovely coverage, the finish is pretty natural, giving a beautiful finish that doesn't scream "My face is covered in makeup!!!" even though it totally is. Longevity and SPF to boot- this is a goodie!
5. Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo - 002 Coral Glow
Not sure if this one is /was limited edition, but a lovely complement to the Diorskin Tan compacts- this is such a gorgeous bronze shade (didn't use the blush side today). I love that you can chuck this in your bag and be covered for bronzer or blush- such gorgeous beautiful shades, separate AND together. So glad I picked this one up!
6. Dior Couture 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette- 634 Golden Flower
Part of the same Holiday 2013 Golden Winter Collection, this is a universally inoffensive collection of shades, unless you dislike a bit of shimmer, glitter and shine (which is what you get if you hit the middle of this palette), but the others are simply gorgeous, complement each other very very well and I couldn't be happier with this product- adore!
7. Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush
I used this to apply my Diorskin foundation today and adore the feel of this brush as it applies the perfect 'resistance' to really push and blend the product in, but is so soft to the touch where the bristle meets the face. I loved the way this seamlessly blended in the product quickly, despite it's relatively small surface size, and the short handle gives very good control over application. Love that you can sweep with this product for a lighter coverage, then stipple for extra coverage where you need it. I bought this recently as part of a holiday gift set at the Shiseido counter at Myer / David Jones. For the regular cost of the brush alone ($AU49), you also get a deluxe size of the eye and lip makeup remove, a mini mascara and a mini lip pencil- great value and a good chance to check out some products from the line that I wouldn't normally try. Thanks Aysh- msgoddessintraining for the encouragement- it's a brilliant deal!
